4 new cases were also recorded in the local district the day before that.
There were 273 new cases reported across Northern Ireland in the last day – up from the previous daily figure of 189.
It is believed to be one of the largest daily figures since the pandemic started.
The overall number of cases in Northern Ireland is now more than 10,000.
There have been 832 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 22,570 tests since the pandemic started.
The 4 new cases locally came from 137 tests.
There have been 826 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 13 since yesterday – and 477 – up 6 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 10,223.
Out of the 273 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 79; Derry City & Strabane had 48; Newry Mourne and Down had 37 and Mid Ulster had 32.
Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon had 22, Fermanagh & Omagh had 15 and Antrim & Newtownabby 13.
Lisburn & Castlereagh had 9; Ards & North Down 8 and Causeway Coast & Glens had 6 cases.
Mid & East Antrim had the lowest with 4.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 577.
No Covid-related deaths were recorded in the last day according to the Department of Health figures.
The Department of Health figures show 46 deaths in Mid & East Antrim; 61 in Antrim & Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast & Glens.
