THERE have been 49 Covid-related deaths in Mid & East Antrim since the outbreak began, new figures released on Friday morning show.
The latest NISRA figures show that, by 29th May 2020, 754 COVID-19 related deaths had occurred across Northern Ireland, based on registrations up to 3rd June 2020. Department of Health figures for the same period showed a total of 528 deaths.
The Northern Ireland Statistics & Research Agency (NISRA) figures are released weekly – on Fridays.
The NISRA report said there were 754 deaths and the breakdown of local government figure correlated with that, however, in an intro on a tweet about the statistics NISRA said there had been 757 deaths.
The report said their most recent statistics show there had been 49 Covid-related deaths in the Mid & East Antrim area; 78 in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 65 in Causeway Coast & Glens.
