Alderman McDonald welcomes news that resurfacing work is set to start on Glebe Road near Ahoghill

BANNSIDE TUV councillor Stewart McDonald has welcomed improvements which are set to be carried out at Glebe Road near Ahoghill.

Alderman Stewart McDonald.

He said: “I welcome confirmation from Road Service that resurfacing work on Glebe Road will commence on Monday of next week.

“Unfortunately there will be some disruption as the road will be closed from 100 metres north of Ballymontenagh Road to Whiteside Road.

“Drivers will need to use an alternative route of Whitesides Road – Slaght Road – Tullygarley Road – Sourhill Road – Galgorm Road – Portglenone Road and vice versa.

“This is a matter which has needed to be addressed for some time and I believe that the short-term inconvenience will be outweighed by the benefits of this work”.
