TUV Alderman Stewart McDonald has welcomed progress on Ahoghill Woodland Walk and new park.

Alderman McDonald said: “Having worked on the project for a number of years I welcome the progress which has been made on the Ahoghill Woodland Walk and New Park project.

“Now that consultation with the community is completed, archaeological issues have been addressed and planning permission has been secured the project is set to go.

“The project will see £345,000 invested in the area and with such a significant outlay of public money I will be keen to ensure that first class facilities are provided.

“The project is being part funded by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs with the council contribution coming from the Ballymena DEA capital fund with no detriment to any other existing project”.
