Ballymena Court hears charges faced by man are allegedly linked to ‘a Covid issue – a spit’

A PROSECUTOR has told Ballymena Magistrates Court charges faced by a man were allegedly connected to “a Covid issue – it’s a spit”.

The claim was made in connection with Cory Flitcroft (24), with an address listed as Whitehill Drive in Bangor.

The defendant is charged in relation to August 11 this year.

He is accused of being disorderly at Shanlea Drive in Larne; criminal damage to police property and attempting to commit grievous bodily harm on a police officer.

The case was adjourned to mid-October.
