A MAN was disorderly in front of police and shouted: “Get the bombs, get the boys down here and get the petrol bombs out,” a prosecutor told Ballymena Magistrates Court.
David Anthony Joseph Barry (27) admitted a charge of being disorderly at Kintyre Road in Larne on April 8 this year.
A prosecutor said at 4.20am on the date in question police attended the area in relation to an assault where a man alleged he was punched a number of times to the face but subsequently failed to provide a statement.
When police arrived the defendant was brought outside the property were he “shouted and swore” at police.
A defence lawyer said the defendant , of Farmley Park, Newtownabbey, had pleaded guilty and said Barry’s offending is “directly linked to his alcohol misuse”.
The defendant, who had a record, was given a three months jail term, suspended for one year.
