Ballymena Courthouse

A MAN has admitted the burglary of a house and stealing a copper tank and piping.

Adam James Black (28), of Bay Road in Larne, struck at a house at Main Street in Glynn on February 11 last year.

He also stole a trailer worth £500 and used a Vauxhall Vectra without insurance.

The case was adjourned to May for a pre-sentence report.

The defendant’s partner – Tanya Clarke (31), with an address at Beachlands in Carnlough -admitted charges of permitting Black to use the vehicle without insurance.

She also admitted failing to initially give information about the identity of the driver and fraudulently altering a registration mark.

Defence solicitor Sara Edge said Clarke had expressed “great regret” about her offending.

The solicitor said the defendant was the registered owner of the vehicle and said the number plates were in place when she bought the car.

Clarke was banned from driving for six months and fined £200.
