A MAN caught speeding twice on the same road – the route between Ballymena and Cullybackey – has been banned from driving for six weeks and fined £200.
Richard Walter Samuel Wylie (33), of Ambleside in Cullybackey, was caught doing 37mph in a 30mph zone in January this year.
Also in January he was detected doing 39mph.
A prosecutor said the defendant was unable to take fixed penalties because he already had 9 points on his licence.
Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said the offences happened on a road which is “well patrolled”.
Ballymena Magistrates Court heard the defendant hopes to start working as a tattooist.
