Ballymena Court is told cannabis offence was a ‘wake-up call’ for man

A MAN has admitted possessing cannabis in relation to April 10 this year but a court heard the offence has been a “wake up call”.

Stephen Williams (20), with an address listed as Ballylesson Road, Ballymena, had the case mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court where the defence solicitor was Stewart Ballentine.

A prosecutor said the offence came to light when police stopped a vehicle.

Mr Ballentine said the defendant has “stopped abusing any drugs” as the offence had been a “wake-up call”.

The defendant was fined £150.
