Ballymena Court: Man (33) is accused of stealing perfume and going equipped for theft with pliers

A MAN is accused of stealing perfume sets worth £145 from Woodsides Pharmacy in Ballymena and Hugo Boss aftershave worth £50 from the ‘Savers’ shop in the town.

Samuel Hugh Atcheson (33), with an address listed as Belfast, is also accused of going equipped for theft with a pair of pliers on the same date – September 7 this year.

He is also accused of handling stolen goods – perfumes and aftershave – and possessing cannabis on the same date.

A defence lawyer told Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday the defendant was “in custody” in relation to “another matter”.

The case was adjourned to the end of October.
