Ballymena Court: Police notice suspicious activity then find cannabis

POLICE noticed suspicious activity, Ballymena Magistrates Court heard, and then found a “very small amount” of cannabis.

Gary Adair (33), with an address listed on the court charge sheet as Clonavon Terrace in Ballymena, admitted a charge of possession of cannabis in relation to February 11 this year.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court a defence solicitor said the amount of cannabis involved was “so small” he had initially asked for a caution.

However, the solicitor added, a caution was not offered.

The defence lawyer asked for maximum credit regarding the early guilty plea regarding the “small amount of cannabis” on February 11 which was for “personal use”.

The defendant was fined £100.
