Ballymena man accused of murder has case further adjourned

A DATE for a Preliminary Enquiry – the legal step to send a case to the Crown Court – is due to be finalised on November 26 in relation to a Ballymena man accused of murder, the town’s Magistrates Court heard on Thursday.

Jordan McClintock (18), of Orkney Drive, Ballymena, is charged with murdering Jason Martin on June 27 this year.

A prosecutor said the matter is at an “advanced stage”.

She said papers in the case had gone to their ‘Case Prep’ section on October 13.

She asked for a two week adjournment to November 26 with the aim of finalising a date for a Preliminary Enquiry.
