Ballymena man is accused of stealing ‘private letters’ during alleged burglary at health centre

A MAN is accused of stealing “private letters” and a fire extinguisher during an alleged burglary at what was described on a charge sheet as ‘Braid Valley Health Centre’.

Paul Millar (38), with an address listed as Waveney Brow in Ballymena, is also accused of attempted burglary with intent to steal property at Boots Pharmacy at 86 Cushendall Road – that’s in Ballymena Health and Care Centre in the town – on the same date, May 19 this year.

He is further accused of possessing Diazepam on May 19.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court where a prosecutor said the full file has still to be received from police.

No further details were outlined to the court.

The defence solicitor was John McAtamney and the case was adjourned to the end of October.
