Ballymena woman admits breaching ASBO by threatening neighbour

Ballymena Court

A BALLYMENA woman has admitted threatening a neighbour in breach of an ASBO.

Sinead Erwin (49), with an address at Carnduff Drive in the town, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court via video link from prison where she has been on remand.

The defendant has pleaded guilty to a number of other charges including damaging a police cell and a police floor; assaulting police and being disorderly.

Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said until “relatively recently” the defendant had “not troubled the court”.

The case has been adjourned to March for a pre-sentence report.

The court heard the defendant had been granted bail but it was not perfected due to issues getting an address.
