Body-worn cameras to be trialled by park rangers at People’s Park following ‘spike’ in anti-social behaviour

BODY-worn cameras are to be trialled by park rangers in the People’s Park in Ballymena following a ‘spike’ in incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Councillors on Mid & East Antrim Borough Council were told officials are continuing to work closely with police.

The area’s Policing and Community Safety Partnership has also been monitoring the situation.

Members of the public have been asked to report incidents at the park to the police, a council report said.

The developments come at a time when the park has received much positive publicity about the ‘Urban Beach’ this summer.
