Broughshane learner driver was unaccompanied ahead of sitting driving test

A MOTORIST with a Broughshane address who was unaccompanied ahead of sitting his driving test has been banned from the roads for two months and fined £400.

Michal Bernard (33), of Carnlough Road, Broughshane, came to police attention on July 9 this year at Carnlough Road.

The defendant admitted charges of no insurance; a driving licence offence; no L plates displayed and being an unaccompanied L driver.

A defence lawyer said the defendant, who works as a log cabin maker, subsequently passed his test.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
