Busy scenes in Ballymena town centre today are streets apart from the deserted dark days of the height of the coronavirus lockdown

The streets of Ballymena are busier again after the lockdown was eased.

THE bustling streets signified we are, fingers crossed, in better times.

With many shops in Ballymena town centre allowed to re-open again following further easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions Wellington Street looked more like its usual busy self.

Queues ran the length of the street at times – just like before the pandemic struck.

Onlike the height of the lockdown when ‘Ballymena Daily’ showed a deserted Wellington Street.

THEN…Wellington Street at the height of the lockdown.
