Calling all ‘mask’ makers in Mid & East Antrim

Council’s Community Health and Wellbeing Team has a small number of sewing machines available for loan to residents.

Individuals and community groups in our borough have been working to help meet the demand for face coverings, masks and scrubs.

With that in mind, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are keen to support our Mid & East Antrim ‘Mask’ Makers.

Council’s Community Health and Wellbeing Team has a small number of sewing machines available for loan to residents.

The machines come with a supply of needles, pins and scissors to help with your sewing, and we will include a pattern for making face coverings.

There is also have a small supply of fabric for those that need some to get them started.

The machines will be cleaned and they can be delivered to you if needed (social distancing measures will apply).

If you think you could help your family, carers or community by using your skills and would like to borrow a machine, please contact the council so they can help you to help others.
