POLICE were, this morning, at the scene of a collision on the Galgorm Road in Ballymena where a car had crashed through a hedge into one of the town’s most prestigious gardens.
The garden, owned by the Glynn family at the junction of Galgorm Road and Old Galgorm Road, is well-known.
The collision occurred opposite the Grange Road junction.
A recovery lorry was at the scene on Sunday morning.
It is unknown if anyone was injured.
The garden has featured on TV and is well used for wedding photographs.
A PSNI spokesperson told ‘Ballymena Daily’: “Police received a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision at the Galgorm Road area of Ballymena this morning (Sunday 21st June).
“Shortly after 8:30am, it was reported that a car had crashed into a garden in the area. Minor damage was caused during the incident and no one was inside the car upon arrival of police.
“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident or who may have dash-cam footage available to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 510 21/06/20.”
