Council wants you to be ‘appy’ with Bin-Ovation

MID & East Antrim Borough Council are urging residents to download the free Bin-Ovation app and enter a competition to win a tablet.

Throughout October, November, December 2019 and January 2020 residents will have the opportunity to win a tablet by downloading the Bin-Ovation app and entering the draw

Simply download the free app to your smart device (phone/tablet). Go to App Store (I-phone) Google Play (Android) and download the app from there. Navigate to the ‘more’ tab and enter your details under the ‘Enter the Draw’ option. That’s it.

Not only do you have the chance to win a tablet, you will also now have access to lots of information about bin collections, recycling and much more, including:

  • A Bin Collection calendar showing your collections.
  • A Reminder function for the user to set up handy bin collection reminders.
  • A search engine for over 250 household items letting you know what items go in which bin.
  • News & Information on your recycling scheme and various initiatives being regularly updated by the waste management team at Mid and East Antrim Council.
  • A Tips section on how to Reduce, Re-use and Recycle with lots of helpful advice about how to make your home more eco-friendly.
  • GPS locations of all Recycling Centres and Bring Banks to make the whole process a lot easier for you.
  • A Contact Council facility where staff will be happy to hear your queries about the waste process that they provide.

Did you know that that hedge trimmings, leaves, cuttings and pruning’s and takeaway pizza boxes can all go in your brown compostables bin?

Or that you should bring old electrical items like CD players, electrical cables, radios and batteries to your nearest recycling centre which are sent to European Recycling Platform (ERP) to create new electrical items?

Why not make use of the amazing advances in recycling technology and avail of this incredible app?

The Council wish you every luck with the draw and hope you find the Bin-Ovation information useful for your day-to-day waste and recycling needs.
