Councillors hold minute’s silence in memory of 14-year-old Gracie Leigh Gordon

COUNCILLORS in Mid & East Antrim Borough Council have stood for a minute’s silence as a mark of respect to 14-year-old Gracie Leigh Gordon who died after a fall at a river in Larne.

At the monthly meeting in Ballymena, Deputy Mayor Beth Adger – who was chairing the meeting – said: “I was deeply shocked and saddened at last week’s tragic death of 14-year-old Gracie Gordon as a result of an accident at the Inver River in Larne.

“On behalf of Council I would extend our thoughts and prayers to her family and friends at this very difficult time”.
