COUNCILLORS are keen to ensure there literally will be no slip-ups with a town centre street scheme after seeking an assurance that paving will be of ‘anti-slip quality’.

Minutes of a meeting of Mid & East Antrim Borough Council show that following comments from councillors, a council official ‘agreed to ensure the granite paving would be of anti-slip quality’.

The council has agreed a public realm improvement scheme for Lower Mill Street in Ballymena.

It is the latest street to be developed in Ballymena town centre in recent years.
