Court in Ballymena hears a man has pleaded guilty to being disorderly at hospital

A MAN has pleaded guilty to being disorderly at the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

Alister Henry (57), with an address listed as Kylemore Road in Coleraine, committed an offence on November 5 last year.

The full details of the incident were not outlined at Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, on Friday, but it was heard the defendant has a suspended sentence.

Defence barrister Michael Smyth asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

He said the defendant had health issues which are currently “confining him to his home” but he understood Probation could speak to Henry by phone.

District Judge Peter King remarked that the defendant “is not unknown to the court”.

Adjourning sentencing to November, the judge said “the location of the offending and the record cause me significant concern”.
