Ballymena Court

A COURT has heard a Ballymoney man allegedly told police they couldn’t arrest him because he was the “King of England”.

William Walker (61), of Kirkview Close, Ballymoney, is charged with attempting to damage three vehicles belonging to neighbours on September 10 and September 16 this year.

He is also accused of interfering with a vehicle and being disorderly at Kirkview Close on September 16.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena on Monday, District Judge Peter King said: “This is the gentleman who said he was immune from arrest because he was the King of England”.

The case was adjourned to December.
