Court in Ballymena hears man was in possession of drug called Fluoro ADB

POLICE found a man in possession of a drug called Fluoro ADB and and also Etizolam.

Neil Blaney had offences detected in October last year, Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, was told on November 2.

The defendant appeared at court via a video link from Maghaberry Prison for sentencing on charges of possessing Class B and C drugs.

The court heard he was already a sentenced prisoner for other matters.

A defence lawyer said the judge “knows Mr Blaney well from Ballymena Court”.

He said the defendant is a heroin addict who had “serious difficulties” getting off the drug.

The defendant (38), with an address listed as Linen Court in Armagh, was given a one month prison term.
