Court in Ballymena is told man kicked door after frustration at covid restrictions reached ‘boiling point’

Ballymena Court

A MAN who kicked a front door in breach of a Non-Molestation Order after his frustration over covid restrictions reached “boiling point” has been fined £250.

Rhys Spence (28) of Quickthorn Place, Coleraine, pleaded guilty to breaching the Order in relation to May 11 this year.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena this week, defence solicitor Derwin Harvey said the defendant’s frustration was at “boiling point” in May after being told he may not get to see a family member “for a period of three months” as a result of covid restrictions.
