DUP councillors call on Council to examine possibility of an army museum in Mid & East Antrim

A CALL is to be made for the local council to explore the possibility of having an army museum in Mid & East Antrim.

A motion is set to be tabled at a meeting of the Council in Ballymena on Monday night, October 5, by DUP councillors.

The motion proposed by Larne councillor Gregg McKeen, seconded by Broughshane councillor Julie Frew, says: “That this Council explores the possibility and undertakes an investigation of having a Museum within the Borough to mark the significant contribution and sacrifice of the Royal Irish Rangers, the Ulster Defence Regiment, the Royal Irish Regiment and other Regiments linked to our Borough.”
