Family of Kitty Neeson publicly thank health care professionals, in particular at Slemish Nursing Home in Ballymena, for care given to their mother

THE family of Kitty Neeson has publicly thanked health care professionals, in particular those at Slemish Nursing Home in Ballymena, for the care given to their mother.

Catherine (Kitty) Neeson, mother of actor Liam Neeson, passed away last month at the age of 94.

In a message in a daily newspaper today the family circle thanked a number of people following Mrs Neeson’s passing.

The notice said: ‘The family of the late Kitty Neeson wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many messages of love and support shown to us following our sad loss.

‘We offer heartfelt thanks to the healthcare professionals who cared for Kitty during her time in hospital and in particular while in the Slemish Nursing Home.

‘A very special word of thanks to the many friends, neighbours, work colleagues and extended family circle for their kindness in contacting us, sending Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy.

‘We also wish to thank all who attended the funeral and those who lined the cortege route to pay respects and say farewell.

‘Grateful thanks to Fr Paddy McKenna for a very special and personal Funeral Service.

‘The entire family truly appreciate your kindness and support.

‘Finally sincere thanks to Henry’s Funeral Directors for the caring and attentive manner in which they conducted all the funeral arrangements.

‘Kitty is lovingly remembered by all her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many friends. Please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere token of our deep appreciation’.
