POLICE are continuing to seize fireworks in the run up to Halloween.
In one of the latest incidents fireworks were found in Portglenone.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police from B Section Ballymena were conducting targeted patrols of the Portglenone area.
“Several vehicles were searched and as a result a quantity of Thunder Rocket fireworks were seized.
“One male was dealt with for the offence of possession of fireworks without a licence.”
Last Saturday police said a quantity of ‘Bad Boy’ fireworks were seized in Ahoghill, following reports of anti social behaviour.
A spokesperson had said at the weekend: “This type of behaviour has an adverse effect in the community and causes unnecessary stress and fear.
“Please keep an eye on your children as these fireworks are very dangerous and volatile and can cause serious injuries.”
