IT wasn’t so much the ‘school run’ on Friday afternoon on one of north Antrim’s busiest roads … but the ‘bull run’.
There was ‘udder chaos’ for a time on the A26 Lisnevenagh Road dual-carriageway between Ballymena and Antrim as at least one cow was on the loose at the side of the northbound lane which delayed traffic for a time.
‘Ballymena Daily’ encountered the scene close to the turn-off to Carnaghts Primary School.
Our reporter said: “The animal was on the loose at the side of the road for a time. Traffic built up after slowing to a halt as drivers were cautious to avoid what looked to be a bull running out in front of them.
“The animal then jogged off and appeared to jump into a field.”
Further details of the incident are unknown.
