THERE have been 4 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.
There were 85 new cases reported across the whole of Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.
There have been 637 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 15,843 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.
There were 72 new cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last week and in the same period Belfast had 117 new cases.
It means Mid & East Antrim had the second highest number of new cases in Northern Ireland in the last week.
The area also had the second highest number of new cases in the last 14 days – 156 – compared to Belfast’s 195.
There have been 589 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 10 since yesterday – and 411 – a rise of 5 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.
The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,049.
Out of the 85 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 27; Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon had 23 and Antrim & Newtownabbey had 10.
Lisburn & Castlereagh had 6; Causeway Coast & Glens 5 and Mid & East Antrim and Newry, Mourne & Down each had 4.
Ards & North Down and Mid Ulster each had 2 and the location of 2 cases was listed as ‘not known’.
There were no new reported cases in Fermanagh & Omagh and Derry City & Strabane.
The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 560.
In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 44 according to Department of Health statistics.
The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
