Friday’s update: 7 new reported coronavirus cases in Mid & East Antrim in last 24 hours

THERE have been 7 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.

There has been one death reported in Northern Ireland – in the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon area – in the last 24 hours.

There were 61 new cases reported across Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

There have been 684 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 17,577 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.

There have been 635 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 7 since yesterday – and 423 – no rise – in Causeway Coast & Glens.

The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,503.

 

Out of the 61 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 21; Lisburn & Castlereagh 11;  Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon had 8 and Antrim & Newtownabbey and Mid & East Antrim 7 each.

There were 3 cases in Ards & North Down and Newry Mourne & Down had 2 cases.

There was 1 case in Mid Ulster and the location of 1 was listed as ‘not known’.

The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 564.

 

In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 45 according to Department of Health statistics.

The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
