Hundreds of tributes paid to well-known north Antrim hairdresser June Nicholl

HUNDREDS of tributes are tonight being paid to June Nicholl who was well known and much respected in the hairdressing industry in north Antrim.

She sadly passed away today.

One person said on social media: ‘So sad to hear this. My 1st (& best!) hairdresser. Many a laugh was had in her house in Dunvale & then in her salon down at the shops. Always smiling, always laughing, always chatting, & a witty sense of humour! My condolences to her family at this heartbreaking time. A beautiful lady, inside & out …. RIP June’.

Another person said: ‘Awe my friend June going to miss you so much. Such a shock to see you have passed on June we had many a laugh and you are a true lady and one of the kindest people I know. God only takes the best June Rest easy my dear friend till we meet again. Heartbroken x’

The following notice was posted on James Henry Funeral Services website:

‘Nicholl June (nee Archibald) 28th March 2020, at her home surrounded by her husband and family, after a long illness bravely borne. Much loved wife of Jim, dear sister of Samuel, Linda, Heather and Pauline.

‘Due to covid-19 restrictions, house and funeral strictly private, donations in lieu of flowers if desired may be sent to James Henry Funeral Services, 100 Broughshane Street, Ballymena BT43 6EE for Laurel House @ Antrim Area Hospital.

‘Lovingly remembered by her sorrowing husband, brother, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law Nephews, Nieces and family circle. “Love never fails”.’
