Man accused of robbing WineFlair in Ballymena has matter sent to Crown Court

A MAN accused of robbing WineFlair at Cushendall Road of Ballymena of cash and cigarettes on November 1 last year has had the matter sent to Antrim Crown Court.

Paul Millar (38), of Waveney Brow, Ballymena, is also charged with possessing two knives as offensive weapons on the same date.

Millar, along with Mark Page (33), of Ballyclug Mews in Ballymena, are each charged with attempting to rob the same WineFlair of cash on September 16 last year.

Page is also accused of having a butter knife as an offensive weapon at WineFlair on September 16.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court, where both accused appeared via video link from prison, the cases were sent to Antrim Crown Court on June 25.
