A MAN appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Saturday after detectives from the PSNI’s Economic Crime Unit charged a man in connection with a multi-million pound investment fraud investigation.
The 50-year-old was arrested in Glasgow on Wednesday and was subsequently charged with 147 offences including fraud and possessing criminal property.
He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates on Saturday morning where he was remanded into custody.
The 147 charges refer to 135 alleged victims across the UK.
Police only released details of the court appearance on Saturday afternoon and it is not believed any reporters were present.
