Man denies charges of causing criminal damage to a car and having a flick baton

A MAN denies charges of causing criminal damage to a Toyota Starlet car and having an offensive weapon – a flick baton – in the Fisherwick area of Ballymena.

Barry McGill (32), with an address listed as Smyth Crescent in Portglenone, is charged in relation to July 18 last year.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court where defence barrister Stephen Law said it was not guilty to both charges.

The matter was adjourned to November 19 to fix a date for a contest.
