Man denies supermarket theft charges

Sainsbury's in Ballymena

A MAN denies three charges of stealing groceries from a Ballymena supermarket.

Noel Simon Johnston (59), with an address listed as Ballymoney Road in the town, is accused of stealing £90 worth of groceries on June 14 this year from Sainsbury’s.
He is also charged with the theft of groceries of unknown amounts from the same store on June 6 and June 10.

The defendant was in the dock at Ballymena Magistrates Court.

The case was adjourned to fix a date for a contest.

The defendant was released on £500 bail with a condition banning him from entering Sainsbury’s in Ballymena.
