Man is accused of possessing a knife in a public place in Ballymena

A MAN is accused of possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – in a public place in Ballymena.

The charge relates to the ‘vicinity of North Road, Ballymena’.

Kurtis Mitchell (26), with an address listed as Whitehill Road, Carnlough, is charged in relation to September 1 this year.

Regarding the same date he is also charged with being disorderly at North Road and possessing a Class C drug Xanax.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court, where the defence solicitor was John McAtamney, the case was adjourned to October.
