Man released after being quizzed as part of police probe into North Antrim UDA

A 37 year old man arrested by detectives from Criminal Investigations Branch in Causeway Coast and Glens on Saturday 24th October, “as part of ongoing investigations into criminality linked to north Antrim UDA”, has been released following questioning, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.

The spokesperson added: “The investigation continues”.

On Saturday a spokesperson had said: “Detectives also carried out a proactive search at an address in the Ballymoney area today. A number of items have been seized, which are subject to ongoing investigation.”

The spokesperson had added: “Anyone with information about any criminality linked to paramilitaries should contact police on 101 or anonymously through the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111, which gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
