Man suffers facial fractures in weekend assault in Ballymena town centre

A MAN suffered facial fractures in a weekend assault in Ballymena town centre.

Police are investigating the report of an assault on a man in the William Street area in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sergeant Natalie Roberts said: “At approximately 1.10 am, we received a report of man having been assaulted by another male.

“The suspect is believed to be 6’2” in height, of heavy build, wearing blue jeans and a black long sleeve top, he is believed to have short blonde hair.

“The victim suffered facial fractures as a result of the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact Ballymena on 101, quoting reference number 124 of 01/12/19.”
