A MAN who stole a Rustlers Burger and sandwiches from Poundland in Ballymena last year is now volunteering with a food bank, the town’s Magistrates Court heard.
Jordan Wilson (27), of Rowan Drive, Dunmurry, committed the offence on July 20, 2019 – the goods were worth £2.
District Judge Nigel Broderick said a pre-sentence report was “very positive” and as well as having employment the defendant is now volunteering with a food bank and is a low likelihood of re-offending.
Judge Broderick said the value of the goods was small but the defendant had been breach of a number of suspended sentences.
He said the defendant could do 40 hours Community Service and told him: “Well done on the improvement you have made”.
