Monday’s update: Another person in the Mid & East Antrim area has died after testing positive for coronavirus

ANOTHER person in the Mid & East Antrim area has died after testing positive for coronavirus.

Department of Health figures show there have been 46 deaths in Mid & East Antrim since the pandemic began.

There have been 19 new reported Covid cases in Mid & East Antrim in the last day.

There were 141 new cases reported across Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

There have been 721 cases in Mid & East Antrim out of 18,383 people tested in the area since the pandemic started.

There have been 672 cases in Antrim & Newtownabbey – a rise of 20 since yesterday – and 437 – up 4 – in Causeway Coast & Glens.

The total number of cases in Northern Ireland since the pandemic began is 7,868.

 

Out of the 141 new cases in Northern Ireland in the last day, Belfast had 37; Antrim and Newtownabbey 20 and Mid & East Antrim 19.

Lisburn and Castlereagh had 17 and Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon had 12.

Newry, Mourne & Down had 11 and there were 7 in Ards & North Down.

Mid Ulster had 6 new cases and Derry City & Strabane and Causeway Coast & Glens each had 4.

Fermanagh & Omagh had 3 new cases and the location for 1 case was listed as ‘not known’.

The number of people who have died across Northern Ireland since the pandemic began, according to the Department of Health, is 565.

 

In Mid & East Antrim, since the pandemic started, the number of people who died is 46 according to Department of Health statistics.

The Health Department says there have been 61 deaths in Antrim and Newtownabbey and 39 in Causeway Coast and Glens.
