Motoring offences detected during police traffic operation in Ballycastle

MOTORING offences were detected when police carried out a traffic operation in Ballycastle on Sunday.

The Police Causeway Coast & Glens Facebook page said: ‘In response to community concerns Ballycastle Npt officers carried out a traffic operation in Ballycastle town on Sunday evening.

‘As a result of the operation,3 people have been reported to the PPS for the offences of no insurance, careless driving and excess speed.

‘Fixed penalty notices were also issued for other motoring offences and 2 vehicles were seized.

‘A number of vehicles and their occupants were also searched under the Misuse of Drugs legislation. Further operations will be carried out in the near future.’
