NEW apartments in the heart of Ballymena town centre could be on the way at a prominent site.
A planning application has been submitted for a change of use of a shop and store and includes four apartments.
The location is the former David Bellingham shop at 34-36 Church Street.
The Planning NI website said the application is for ‘Change of use of part of ground floor shop and entire first and second floor storage areas to 4 apartments (including internal alterations).’
On social media a number of people have welcomed the application saying having people living in the centre of the town could boost the economy.
