Thousands are expected to descend upon the Borough as well as Antrim as 300 male and female golfers from around the world compete alongside each other at the same venues for equal prize money.
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor, Maureen Morrow, said: “In an extraordinary year of golf I am excited to welcome golfing fans and international visitors to our Borough as the ISPS HANDA World Invitational takes place at Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort and Massereene Golf Club.
“Tickets for the tournament are selling fast for the week-long festival of golf with star names from both the men’s and women’s game lined up to compete in this first of its kind event.
