Parents express disgust after burnt out remnants of motorbike are found near popular play park in Ballymena

The remnants of what is believed to a motorbike which was set on fire.

PARENTS who regularly bring their children to a popular play area in Ballymena have expressed disgust after the burnt out remnants of a motorbike were found.

The motorbike was burnt close to a play park, outdoor gym and five-a-side football pitch near Harryville Community Centre.

‘Ballymena Daily’ was sent the pictures by a member of the public who said the destroyed motorbike was discovered on Saturday morning.

One parent said: “That is a great wee area for children and families and I have used the outdoor gym even. They are great facilities but to see something like this happening is disgraceful. I hope it can be cleaned up quickly.”

What appeared to a petrol can was left beside an outdoor gym.
