Police investigating murder of Ballymena B&B owner Inayat Shah contact people whose vehicles passed along Galgorm Road last Saturday

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Ballymena B&B owner Inayat Shah last Saturday have made a new appeal for information.

Flowers at Galgorm Road on Tuesday of this week.

 

They have contacted the owners of vehicles which passed along the Galgorm Road in the town around the time of the incident in the hope that a passer-by may have noticed something.

Police at the scene earlier this week.

 

The police message said: ‘Detectives from Serious Crime Branch of the Police Service of Northern Ireland are investigating the murder of Mr Inayat Shah which occurred on Saturday 21st March 2020 on the Galgorm Road, Ballymena, at approximiately 15.34 hours.

‘Enquiries have identified a number of vehicles which travelled on this road in the vicinity of the Bus and Train Station at approximately 15.30 hours.

This was the scene last Saturday as police investigations got under way.

 

‘Police are keen to speak with the driver/passengers of these vehicles. Did you witness the incident? Please contact Police on 101 quoting reference number 863 of 21/3/20.’

A man has already appeared in court accused of murdering Mr Shah.
