Police have said they will have an increased presence in Ballymena in the next few days as part of a campaign aimed at making roads safer.
The PSNI Ballymena Facebook page said on Wednesday afternoon: “Keeping our roads and road users safe continues to be a priority for Police and their partner agencies.
“Hopefully you will notice an increased Police presence in the Ballymena town area over the next couple of days.
“Police will be monitoring standards of driving, use of mobile phones whilst driving, failure to use seatbelts, and vehicles with no insurance, MOT, or tax.
“Police will of course be conducting their normal day to day service calls to the public but be assured any detected offences will be dealt with promptly and robustly. Thank you for your continued support in regard to our efforts.”
