Power lines and trees down as Ballymena is battered by Storm Brendan

STORM Brendan battered Ballymena and surrounding districts on Monday causing disruption.

A number of trees fell across roads in areas like the Dans Road and the Ballygarvey Road.

A number of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council sites closed due to the weather including the People’s Park in Ballymena.

Carrickfergus Castle also had to close to visitors due to high winds.

And there was flooding in Carrick as the sea tumbled over coastal walls.

Bryson Recycling  suspended ‘Kerbie’ box collections due to weather conditions.
