A PROSECUTOR has told a court her department has now received a forensics report from police in connection with a case in which a man is accused of murdering Inayat Shah who owned the Traveller’s Rest B&B in Ballymena.

Michael Lenaghan (52), with an address listed as that of the Traveller’s Rest, is charged in relation to March 21 this year.

Regarding the same date he is also accused of wounding a male with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and making a threat to kill another male.

Mr Inayat Shah ran the Traveller’s Rest B&B in Ballymena

At Ballymena Magistrates Court the District Judge Nigel Broderick said the case was listed to fix a date for a Preliminary Enquiry. A PE is the legal step to send a case to the Crown Court.

A prosecutor told the court the committal papers are still being finalised and hoped to be able to fix a PE date on October 22.
